Good luck! Be prayed up before you go. With the number of contentious personalities that post regularly on this board, I would imagine a NYC C-D meet up to be like a giant "hood" meet-up complete with NYPD having to be called due to escalating arguments among the guests.

Lol, not really if you get the bus on Merrick Blvd to Parsons-Archer Ave and then take the E into Manhattan. Another option which would be an easier commute is to take LIRR which has a stop near Rochdale Village.

In true NYC sub-forum fashion maybe the participants can chip in $20 dollars and they raffle one month's rent (lottery style) at the meet up. Given the amount of people who stumble on to this forum in search of cheap housing, you might get a bigger turn out.

This website use to sponsor poster of the month cash prizes, it wouldn't be a reach if they made it into a sponsored event.

I've seen that next to some posters names (mathjak ). They should throw the mods some $$ instead.

Manhattan below 59th Street is central to the city. That way people from Upper Manhattan, the Bronx, Brooklyn, Queens, and SI (or those living in Manhattan below 59th Street) can all come to a location without it being terribly inconvenient from someone.

A meeting in the Bronx would be way out of the way for Queens and Brooklyn people, for example.
