Who applied??

Wiliamsburg doesn't really appeal to me, but for a one bedroom with views to Manhattan, lets see what happens!

Lost me at Williamsburg -- overrun by hipsters - no thanks

I did apply to the one in Brooklyn Heights though.

How long does it usually takes for the numbers to come out after the lottery pending status?

Whats wrong with your current lottery apartment, that's making you apply to more?

It's not a one bedroom.

Ohh, you got a studio? Ok gotcha.

Can you do an internal transfer?

I don't know, but what I do know is that my landlord is building another 80/20 building right on the same sidewalk. Construction begins in January.

Thumbs up I applied in spring 2018

Had a lottery number in the mid 400s. Was notified for the eligibility verification meeting in early December. Once I got all the paperwork in, it went very fast. Approved within a week and signed the lease at end of December. Moved in last week to a (small) 1-bd. So far, building management is responsive and neighbors seem fine. I was a little worried about construction and nearby BQE/JMZ noise, but so far, so good.

I used to live in Williamsburg in the late 1990s/early 2000s for a decade. I only decided to move back because my kid got into a local magnet school. Now we're less than two blocks' walking distance.
