I'd rather not have to worry about my passport every time I take a domestic flight...but that's a personal preference.
Quite understandable, not schlepping around your passport is a big plus.
I considered the license upgrade to REAL but I feared the wait so I pussied out.
Hey all. So i went and renewed my id and requested the Real ID because i had the documents for that.
I asked them how long it took to receive it through the mail and i was told 2 weeks. But someone else said 8 business days. Has anyone here recently got their real id or driver license and could tell me exactly how long it took to receive in the mail?

Have you two hands? Can you count?
Two weeks equals fourteen days.
Two business weeks equals ten days (M-F)
Thus eight days is *about* two weeks in terms of any entity that only operates M-F.
No one can tell you "exactly" how long anything will arrive via USPS because mail service is beyond anyone's control. DSNY can tell you how long it will take for them to process and mail whatever, but once it is given to USPS it is out of their control.
As one of my babysitters used to say; "It's gonna come here when it gets a here, ok? Stop you worrying, you gonna make me crazy".
Hi there. Well i went on Monday to do this in the afternoon... that mean i would get it by Friday of this week then?
Yes they mentioned 2 weeks and then someone else mentioned 8 days. Is it by regular mail with usps?
