I'd call this fall weather but I do notice lots of people over reacting with heavy coats and thick scarves.

If this is considered winter now I sure hope it stays like this until March.

It's not over reacting if you are a person who gets cold to dress warm

Also don't be so judgmental. Maybe these people you think are over reacting work outside all day, have heath issues, or simply don't like being cold.

What’s happening now is pretty normal. Thing seem a bit off because Summer lingered ,not because we skipped Fall.

This. The wind chill today is 33 degrees. That's plenty cold for me and yes, I'm bundled up wearing a down coat, hat, scarf and gloves. I weigh all of 105 pounds so it doesn't take much to get me cold.

This is classic NYC Autumn weather. Crisp and clear. The best part is certain demographics tend to stay inside!

What are you on about? Today and forecast for coming week are hardly "winter" weather for NYC.

Typical autumn crisp and chilly temps yes, but certainly not winter by any means.

Don't know how old some of you are, and or where grew up, but seems obvious it wasn't in New York.

And that’s not such a bad thing.
