How is cryptocurrency affecting the stock markets?

I'm a total novice but still wonder how electronic currencies affect everything else.

not even close . the butterfly has averaged since the 1970's 6.80 % in real return . that is after inflation adjusting . you can see on the charts it has had double digit gains in years, lots of them . .

for a portfolio not 100% equities and has capital preservation in mind that is pretty darn good .

the permanent portfolio is designed for those even more gun shy and has seen after inflation adjusted returns of over 5% .

remember these are after inflation and are designed for investors who are even gun shy of a 60/40 mix .

today stocks are down , gold and long treasuries are up .

I hear those funds vastly overvalue BTC where you are better off just buying the coin itself on GDAX or something. I remember at some point GBTC was trading at 100% to 150% premiums to what the actual BTC price was. As far as I know it was always cheaper to buy actual crypto on an exchange instead of a shares in a fund that represent that crypto.

yes , the fund does over value the bitcoins but it has not been a problem since it is the only game in town that can be traded easily like an etf .

it works fine for riding the wave up and down . i have traded it about 15x this year . .

I have mostly just bought and held onto the big coins, for dear life, wishing they go way back up in prices soon.

But recently I have started to buy a few select smaller crypto's, in anticipation of a big change or a big upset of some kind with BTC.
