A place I used to visit to get delicious steamed mussels, Petite Abeille, closed so I'm wondering if anybody knows of other restaurants in the vicinity of the East Village Gramercy Park/Kips Bay that they would recommend for steamed mussels.

The Smith in the Village on 3rd ave between 10th and 11th streets has a heaping mussels entree. Yum.

I miss Petite Abeille. They had a really good brunch. I hope we get another restaurant in that space.

All those posts made me hungry so I took an Uber into Manhattan's Canal st.
Had a wonderful Black mussels over garlic and oil spaghetti at
Forlinis Italian Restaurant 93 Baxter st.
Amazing. Simply Amazing.
5 stars dining.
Classy and elegant.
Traditional and family friendly environment.
Shed the anxieties of the day and dine like never before.
The waiters are just beautiful beautiful people.
It has been here for many many generations.
Those who know how to dine know it exists.
Everyone else goes to all those other Italian Franchises.....................yuk....

Forlini's is true old school. I first went there back in the 1970s.

Flex Mussels on 13th between 6th and 7th. Was just there yesterday! They have a happy hour special with a few options, or a larger menu of options for other times
