A Direct cremation is a body pickup, no embalming, cremation in a cardboard coffin and UPS delivery of ashes and death certificates.
Price, service, and low aggravation level are important considerations.

Recently attended a funeral parlor that set the cremation box
beautifully on a crafted table with candles and angels.
I think most funeral parlors should be able to accommodate.
Your pain is heart felt. I will pray his soul and for you to find peace and inner strength

I'm sorry for your lost. I'm not in NY, but when my mom died the hospice recommended a service for direct cremation; they knew of people who had been happy with it. Perhaps a hospice local to you could also make a recommendation? I know that sometimes a business doesn't want to specifically recommend others, but perhaps. I've found hospice workers to be very kind.

So sorry for your loss. I think a hospice service, as someone else suggested, might be a good source for this.
