Do you think Mayor DeBlasio will entertain the idea of running for president?

Do you think that he can govern our country the same way he governs our city?
Would you want him to?

Do you think he has what it takes to bring balance to this nation?

Trump's wall is the foundation of DeBlasio policy. They work hand in hand.

absolutely. He always proposes these over the top liberal policies where he can claim "I did it first."

And he does a lot of traveling and campaigning in other states and cities about his ideas.

When he was in Germany joining those anti Trump demonstrations...that was the nail in the coffin. He's clearly trying to carry his profile and create a name brand for the Presidency.

Why is every big name NY politician suddenly touted to make a presidential run?

Is there some type of political magazine that ya'll subscribe to monthly? How much ya'll pay?

I swear this is like adult comic books.

Most big name Democrats live in a bubble where they assume Trump is wildly unpopular and whomever gets the Democratic nod next year is 100% sure to be President.

I don't even like Trump but can't deny he says the things rust belt voters want to hear.

He would lose. He doesn't have the clout.

NY politicians as of late have become overzealous about their national profile in calculating their chances at the Presidency. And just to note, it didn't begin with Deblasio. Guilliani thought that being "America's Mayor" carried some national cache too because he got rid of a few squigie men and *claims* that he got NYC all the resources following 9/11 and threw his hat in the ring. Bloomberg is heavily weighing his chances right now; he's been itching to get in there for a few years now--he just hasn't tried thus far because focus groups and other polling consistently says "No" to him. After seeing Trump win, I think he feels that he's a billionaire who can do it as well. Cuomo is definitely weighing his options, his policies constantly have "we did it first, it works, and I'll spread it everywhere else", he's traveled abroad to speak as well with foreign leaders on certain issues, but I think he's waiting until 2024 because he believes Trump will do 8 years and he doesn't want to tarnish his brand. Deblasio was on the road during speaking engagements with the CLinton campaign along with all the other stuff he's been doing, he's been trying to nationalize and interntionalize his profile for a few years now.

Maybe he dreams of it - but why should I care at this point?

In general, I don't think a mayoralty is enough of a qualification for the presidency, although I suppose Giuliani and Bloomberg might have had a shot. I like that you chose the word "balance," though - as opposed to leadership, strength, or power.

Why would you say something like that?
It takes more guts to run New York's 8 million
than to run Atlanta Georgia at only 1/2 million people.
So it all boils down to what is supposed to make the
most common sense.
I would not vote for him because of his flip flop politico but
that's just my opinion.
