And about time too; this is what winter in NYC (especially by late January) is supposed to be like weather wise. Will only last a day or so though, by Wednesday back up to the 40's with rain.

Agree. Just put some thermal pants on, a hat and a nice winter coat and you are set.

Don't forget a ski mask. But it is good it is a bank holiday today because a ski mask in a bank can get you killed.

For the first time this winter, I had to put the fan in the bedroom window in order to get a comfortable night's sleep. I hate this heat!!

I was still freezing. And I had on a hat plus two hoods.

Top top plus sweater plus insulated hoodie.

Still too cold for me!

Our place was always overheated in Winter. But last year, the co-op switched to gas from fuel oil and apparently did some thermostat jiggering. So now there are no more open windows on frigid days like yesterday, and so far this morning.
My Winter uniform is no longer just a pair of boxer shorts. Indoor te,perature at dawn was 69F. Eastern sunlight has kicked it up a degree or so.
It is better this way. I cannot sleep in an overheated room.

I must agree with the Title...I see less snow.

We moved in just before Xmas 2010 and immediately afterwards was the last BIG ONE I recall.
