my taxes have gone up and I see no improvements to infrastructure

Commercial RE sales have slowed, is what the brokers are telling my boss. He wants to sell his building, but the price he wants is just a tad bit higher than what is being offered.

The people Amazon recruit won't live in NYC for long, it's just like Seattle where people making 6 figures quit after 18 months because the cost of living out paced their salary. It will happen here quick when a transplant moves here and rushes to rent whatever apt that's available for high market rate and after a year they are forced to move outside the city. Sure, NYC will still take the taxes. A lot of young millennials still need $500 a month to pay for their student loans.
