I have no idea if we will be approved and/or how many people are ahead of us in our bracket/desired unit. I only provided paperwork last week, so I'm prepared to wait it out for awhile
Well i do not think we know how many applocants this building has. I dont think they disclose such information. But as far as apartments goes they have 100, ranging from studios to 1, 2, 3 bedrooms. Now i think from the way things are going they have than 100 applicants that qualifies. That is why most are waitlisted until the ones with lower log numbers get rejected for some reason and it will keep on going like that until they reach your log number. We know they all messy, lazy and slow so it may take time.
so why do they continue to interview people , I was interviewed last week and have a very high log number. If they reached 100 applicants that have their paperwork in and meet the requirements and have many waitlisted? Why waits people's time?
Well because those people who take your paper work that is just the first step, even if your income falls within the range you still can get rejected for something else, either in your background check or credit check or could be something else. As you know they always ask for more paperwork and people who take long to provide them can get disqualified. So unless those first applicants signed a lease, there still hope for the rest. And i dont think they can legally stop after finding 100 applicants, that is why they have a waitlist.
Update: I went for final viewing of apt, met with bldg manager, and signed the lease today for an April 1st move-in date.
I was told theyre still vetting people from log #s because others having went through the entire process decided to decline, or did not make it through the process at all. Good luck.
