Weather permitting like to take the family on a nice walk. Normally we walk the trails or boardwalk in Orchard Beach, the Bronx. We also have walked the Promedade in Brooklyn. Might explore the High line this weekend. What, stretch of City do you enjoy ? It can be park, street, whatever and why ?

Central Park is great, and good for many different days of walks since it's so huge.

Hudson River Greenway is good as well. Hudson River Greenway - Great Runs

Greenwich Village and the West Village are fun for exploring and looking at architecture and cobblestone streets. https://www.thrillist.com/lifestyle/...-city-streets#

You can also access the High Line next to the Whitney Museum. Just be aware that the High Line is almost always overcrowded and not always all that pleasant for a leisurely walk.

The path around the Ridgewood Reservoir in Highland Park in Brooklyn is a nice walk about a mile or so.

we have the path along the cross island parkway that runs from northern blvd to the underneath side of the throgs neck bridge. you park in the fort totten parking lot .

fort totten is an intersting walk too . lots of old stuff and a crazy history . it was a Nike missile base back in the day .

I use to jog around the water shed back in the 70's when it was still filled with WATER!
I would jog around that about 4 times. Don't remember if that was equal to 4 miles or a little less.
Such a beautiful and serene place in the middle of all the city noise.

There's a small basin with water now but it's not near the trail which is still nice to walk/jog. It is serene except for one spot where it takes you a few feet from the Jackie Robinson parkway.

Walking across the GWB is nice. After that you can walk up to the Cloisters. Very nice walking up there.

Riverside Park.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Riverside_Park_(Manhattan)
It's free. Not crazy busy like Central Park. There are plenty of benches to plop yourself down to watch the sunset, listen to music, read, or people watch (plenty of joggers, cyclists). Not at all busy (although I usually go during the weekday during my lunch hour, not the weekend). Strolling by the path, you're by the river and you can bike, walk, jog (it's particularly nice during the summer months with the cool breeze). There's public restrooms available (clean and safe for the most part and not crazy busy like the one at Bryant Park). And The Boat Basin Cafe is nearby if you're hungry or thirsty or just want to rest and see the views.
https://boatbasincafe.com I've been. It's alright. It makes for a nice evening although it can get noisy and loud but it has a nice ambience & the food is alright. Service is good
