I had my original interview at the end of December. I heard back in February that the building I was assigned to was not complete and I would hear back when there was an update. Just on Wednesday, I got an email from the woman fomr C&C requesting updated documents. Other than that it's just a waiting game!

Do you think it took longer because the building wasn’t ready cause I interviewed on the 28th and she said that there were 2 buildings completed and I would hear back in 10days

They ignored my appeal (no response) HPD did nothing about it giving me the lamest response. So while all that waiting was happening I continued saving and now I'm approved for somewhere larger and beautiful in another state that allows pets for next month!

Hopefully people here dont get jerked around much, I know people cant leave easy or even want to. This management team is bad. And from what I seen in other threads over the years, when the prescreen is bad they're typically bad when you live there. Stay on your toes, my NYC story is over.

Well it's not in the tristate or in the south, and I'm satisfied with the landlord and neighborhood. It was heartbreaking at first what happend to me in this grueling lottery process, but my hard work getting valued elsewhere is my happy ending. I'm the thread creator so I saw it fit to wish everyone here good luck cause we (were) all in the same boat!

Everyone need a home they're happy with so good luck and hope you sign your leases!

Sorry you had to go through such dreadful process. I cant believe you never received a response. But also congrats on your new journey, what’s meant to be, will be.
