read the old posts on BG, wanted to know if anyone had more or new info to share (related to their affordable housing processing, not for their owned buildings)?

how long did they take after intake to approve/send your file to NYC? do they really send them in batches, meaning you have to wait for others to send their required docs in/get verified?

would they get annoyed if someone called to follow-up, and how often should someone email/call to follow-up?

do they handle annual recertification, or does the building or NYC do that? do you have to move out if you exceed 140% or 170% income (saw that at the bottom of one of the certification forms)?

the building I interviewed for is HPD 421-a (tax abatement) and HCR LIHTC (tax credit) if rules are different for those, thanks

Just had an interview with them, they seemed unorganized to be honest. But what can you expect it’s a non profit and run by people who seem like they just want a paycheck. I have community preference but a high log number so my hopes aren’t up. I first went in and had an interview, very simple and handed in documents and signed some papers. However, I went back the following day to correct something on my paperwork and it turns out I met with the wrong person, so I had the interview all over again..

I had a interview with them a few years back for affordable housing apartment very unorganized. If you have anything in collection over 10,000 they will denied your application.

As they should; owing five large is bad enough, but 10?

Unorganized, lying POS. And they still owe me my $50 money order. Worst experience ever. They give you hopes that you will get an apt and you never get it. Never answer phone calls or emails.
