I agree, I used to hang around there a few years back, and it was still kinda so-so around there at night, especially the closer you got to 14th Street. Once you hit 14th Street, it got cool after you hit Avenue A. Wonder if that dive bar on 14th and B maybe? is still around. I never got the opportunity to go in.

Rats around there are a nice size too

The rule of thumb is if you're in a hood, expect hoodrats. And hoodrats don't take kindly to out of towners.
