I don't know many people who attend religious services. Brick is a pretty safe bet because you have to be a member to apply to the preschool. I don't know anyone who goes to Trinity, know a few people who go to St James, most of my Jewish friends attend smaller congregations. And yes, I know plenty of CEOs, lawyers, bankers and real estate honchos.
I don't think religion is much of a litmus test anymore. School, neighborhood, summer house location, car, these are more useful markers than house of worship.
I'm Catholic and I always go to Saint Patrick's Cathedral on Sundays, so sad for the tons of clueless tourists at every hour making noise and taking pictures. I am in my 20s and I would never disrespect someone else's temple in the name of an Instagram picture.
The church's congregation have their own private area and schedule, those are the 1%'s.
