But they are Jewish, and they identify as Jews (A type of Sephardic) before they identify as originating from Stans. The Askenazi were Jews from Europe.

My family has owned a home in that area on Alderton right off 63rd Dr. since the 60's. They love the area. Funny thing to see this thread today. Their tenants just notified us ( since we manage the rental locally for them) that they bought a home just around the block & are moving in a few weeks since they love the area so much.

I knew the last Jews were gone when Ben's Best on Queens Boulevard shut its doors.

The Crescent section is particularly nice - closer to the border of Middle Village

Except for the fact that it is smack between a railroad and a cemetery and at least a 30 minute walk to the nearest subway station. Plus, those houses are all in the $1MM+ range.

Yes one needs to either cross over the footbridge at 67th Avenue or under the 63rd Drive railroad bridge (for the Queens Blvd. lines) and that makes the walk from the Crescent area long and not convenient to get to the subway.

Many Russian people are Jewish though just not as Americanized so they eat food from their culture instead.
