Another gift from recently passed budget. Now *everything* purchased online will have an upfront sales tax tacked on. This applies whether or not the marketplace has a physical presence in NYS. This includes eBay and the rest.

The SCOTUS cracked on this one. I don't see what their justification was for changing the previous precedent.

Best local deal is UE zones in NJ like Paterson or JC/Bayonne with 3.1% tax, or if you can, drop ship to New Hampshire / Delaware still 0% tax, worth it for expensive purchases like laptops and cell phones

Actually, Quill should have been overturned a long time ago.

Another $280 million dollars that the state will waste on welfare, and defending illegal aliens to stay in the country illegally. **** this place.

The NYS government is trying to become a carbon copy of California now that Democrats have 100% control

Actually no. There was nothing wrong with Quill from a legal standpoint. The constitution gives the congress the power to control interstate commerce. If they wanted to allow the states to tax it, they could have done it. In point of fact the states shouldn't have any control over interstate business.

The problem with following California is that New York does not have the same pleasant weather and natural beauty.

For example, a hot girl (replace with guy for those of other sexual preferences) can be high maintenance and still get plenty of pursuers . A plain girl can't afford to be high maintenance because there's plenty of other plain girls to choose from.

At some point, maybe not immediately, reality will hit NYS/NYC in the face.

I meant more like, the NYS government is trying to adopt high tax and authoritarian measures now that the NYS government is fully controlled by Democrats. I regret voting for Cuomo, I used to think he was a moderate but I was dead wrong

With higher and higher taxation, I assume more people will try to move elsewhere.
