Meh. Not too big a jump. Base fare is still 2.75. Weekly pass goes up a buck. If all of those hoodlums who jump the turnstyles paid for their rides instead of stealing, it wouldn't cost as much for us honest folk.

Doubt it. They'd still find a way to nickle and dime us.

And it isnít to state those hoodlums canít afford it. It seems as if itís too much work to go in their handbag and pull out their metro card because they need two hands to hold their Venti Carmel Double Pump Frapp.

Was thinking about doing that while out and about today; but didn't crunch numbers to see if worth bothering. *LOL*

May wander down to the SAS subway station before midnight and do a refill.

The greed of the transit union representing transit workers is the sole reason why bus and subway fares are always going up.

Always has been for years; but not directly out of employees wages per se. MTA has a "payroll" tax on employers above a certain level of revenue.

As have frequently stated; MTA reaches into your back pocket more times per day than just using their services. Utility bills, buying a home, working, and soon congestion pricing. And somehow, somehow the MTA is always busted and broke.
