It's a project to get high school student cheap Broadway tickets. Which sounds nice. But why just 10th graders and chaperones? Why not 11th or 12th graders with no chaperones? For that matters, why not have a handful of standby tickets and standing-room at all theaters, for anybody?

It's nice to encourage kids to go to the theater, but it won't become a habit if they're expected to then make the leap from $10 to $60.

Anyway, if you're acquainted with some 10th graders, let them know.

That's a great program. It reminds me of TDF's Wendy Wasserstein Project (formerly Open Doors): https://www.tdf.org/nyc/59/Wendy-Wasserstein-Project

I was a member of this program back in high school. I'm pretty sure I was enrolled from 10th through the 12th grade. You also got an annual $100 voucher for purchase of Broadway tickets at the discounted TKTS booths throughout your college years.

I recall the project fondly. Through the program, I was able to see Wicked (twice), Hairspray, Spelling Bee, Spring Awakening, Edward Scissorhands (this one was at BAM), Avenue Q, and other shows.
