Simple. When things turn south use the taxpayers to bail out bad decisions. The whole privatize profits & socialize losses thing

Just because you’re getting a nice paycheck now and you’re chillin’ at the moment doesn’t mean that’ll always be the case. And not for anything but not filing US taxes as an expat is illegal. It’s one of the reasons I came back from Brisbane. They told me, if I choose not to file taxes to the US I wouldn’t be allowed back into the States. The way the IRS kept tabs was through the banking systems which reported all American expat’s earnings through direct deposit. Kudos to you for getting away with it- just sayin’
I’m never moving back to the US, so that is so not a worry.

I’m a duel citizen, not an expat anyway. I only file taxes to be able to get my US social security in old age.

Lots of Brits settle here and it’s big business if you speak English well. I’d be okay even during a recession.

Worry about yourself.

Also unemployment rates here are taken out of context. Many people work off the books and I live in agricultural country where they export a lot of produce (a lot also used for internal consumption).

Fabulous. Fun days at the pool, amazing parties, great red wine, among many other things.

It’s the summer time too.

I’m going to say something else. The people defending the richest CEOs are the most unhappy people I have ever come across. Obsession with money and identification with the imagined lifestyles of the rich and famous certainly don’t seem to be bringing you happiness.

I’m glad Mr. Ryu likes his tiddays and knows how to live. Some of you should beg him to hang out with him so he can show you how to give a good time.

There are 2 ways to approach this -

1) Make enough money to be comfortable.

2) Live in a place where you don't need much money to be comfortable.

I have #1, you have chosen #2. Horses for courses. But I don't hear about you having a family, is it just yourself? Must be lonely then.

I’m gay and having fun with hot Spanish hunks. Far from lonely. In general Spanish people are fairly social and I live in a small town and everyone knows everyone.

Btw, the problem with making enough money to pay a high mortgage or high rent is the fear of losing one’s job due to recession or due to some other factor that puts you out of work. You’re facing foreclosure or eviction. My rent is only 350 a month for a three bedroom, working in the countryside for one week I could easily cover that.

Yet out of delusion people defend the richest CEOs and insist Bezos be awarded tax credits he does not need. Self hate to the extreme.

You people have deep psychological issues you need to address.

I’d go swimming but pulled a muscle swimming yesterday (I hit the tool pool regularly). Lots of studs at the pool. But not to worry, I’m about to have some wine with them. By for now.

I studied computer science, but thanks for playing.

Now it should be noted I’m not making any judgment or anyone’s life in terms of where they live or work. That’s your business, not mine.

But it just seems really weird there’s a ridiculous number of posts from right wing people wanting NYC to fail because they disagree with the politics of elected officials.

Talk about jerks. I would never wish for any pls e in the world to fail, no matter who is elected and no matter how much I disagree with him.

Case in point I do not like Trump at all. But the US existed long before Trump and willing after Trump. I would never wish an economic collapse just because I disagree with certain Trump policies. I even wish him luck in China, North Korea, and Iran despite major disagreements with him on immigration, healthcare, and education. Hey, if he successfully gets Mexico to control their Southern border I would even applaud him.

Certain people, claiming to be right wing, seem evil to the point of being utterly demonic.

It's not out of delusion, it's that we don't want socialism. We do not want what happened to France and Venezuela to happen here. Who the hell cares if the rich get richer? I'm not expected to starve anytime soon. There's nothing wrong with tax credits if those credits will reap huge returns.

I'd also go swimming. I just don't feel like taking Amtrak Upstate to my aunts house. I'll probably schedule it for another time, though ... having to work only three days a week gets boring during the summer.
