I received a denied letter from the realtor for the government housing unit due to not meeting the income requirement. So, I decided to appeal because my income as of now matches what they want. I sent them an appeal letter stating that my income is what they wanted along with a copy of my tax transcript. When I decided to called them, they said they understand that my income is higher now and they will put me on a waitlist. I was wondering what that waitlist means, does it mean I will have to go through the entire selection process again?

When an apartment becomes available for you they will need to qualify you again. You will need to go through the process again , bring in your paperwork and make sure you are within the current AMI guidelines.

Thank you. Accodring to HPD, the apartment should've be frozen during the first appeal so I don't know what is going on.
