Wife and I are staying home with two acs on. Both set at 74.
I have no problem with the heat if I’m at the pool or the beach, but in the City, it sucks. You can feel the heat radiate off the sidewalk and buildings. And on trash days like yesterday, ick! Everything stinks. And the subways stations? Fogetaboutit!!
Just went for a walk around the neighborhood with the GF. We were both sweaty messes when we got back. Immediately turned the ACs on when I walked in the apartment.
Earlier i was sitting under a tree in my yard with the sprinkler on. There was a slight breeze so it didn't feel horrible. Now I am at work enjoying this free AC.

I hate the heat and humidity and am not sure how to escape it except for inside in the A/C
I stayed indoors with my fan on and the a/c on part of the time.
AC day and night on dehumidify setting (not that it does any good at dehumidification, just an advertising afterthought) and 72F. If I feel too cool, I turn it off for an hour and then back on when I feel warm.
I am blessed in that I pay $15/month/AC (I have one) and nothing extra for the electricity I use. So as long as the Fedder's/Airtemp runs, 8+ years now, I am fine. I try to walk/shop around 11 AM-Noon when there is always a shady side of the street. If I walk in Manhattan at 10AM the side streets have no shade and at 2PM the Avenues have no shade...those times are deadly so I find something to do at home...usually forum blathering or paper shuffling, or, God-forbid, LAUNDRY.
