NYC School Zone Speed Camera Enforcement Expansion Starts Thursday.
They will be turned on from 6am to 10pm Monday through Friday all year round.
In addition the city will install speed cameras in many more school zones from 140 to 750
as part of the expansion program. Fines will start at around $50 if you inch upwards a few miles per hour.

Opinion:
The initiative to save lives is nothing more than a front to generate much needed revenue as a result
of the financial failings at the hands of our two purported State and City Leaders.
Be vigil in your driving. It is pathetic that one must drive ( crawl ) 25 mph to get from one point to another without
falling asleep at the wheel. It is an abomination that you are know being tracked for a citation once you inch over the limit.
Phone Apps can spot Red Light Cameras and monitor speed limits but it takes time for data to be uploaded.
In any case if you spot a camera could you be so kind to add the location to this post. It might just save others a few bucks.

I'll start:

Location of 25 mph speed enforcement camera and Neighborhood

Sutphin Blvd and Hillside Ave Jamaica Queens
Woodhaven Blvd and Union Turnpike ( under bridge) Forest Hills Queens

Here's the ones I know off the top of my head-

Queens-
Woodhaven Blvd @ Furmanville Avenue
Atlantic Avenue @ 85 St
Union Turnpike west of the Cross Island Parkway (speed trap spot, considering there's next to no pedestrians ever on this stretch)
Queens Blvd pretty much every 3 or so blocks (street is a huge cashgrab for Deblasio and Vehicle Zero. Use the LIE instead and avoid at all costs)
Rockaway Blvd @ 100 St
164 st directly north of the LIE

Brooklyn-
Linden Blvd west of Elderts Lane
Ocean Parkway south of Church Avenue (another street I highly recommend drivers avoid using)
Pennsylvania Avenue in Starlett City north of the Belt Parkway

Wouldn't it be easier just to drive below the posted speed limit?

Impossible. 25MPH is ridiculous.

With all these extra (for hire vehicles) on the streets, I don't even see how it's possible to drive over 25mph by constantly having someone in front of you who wants to drive like Miss Daisy!

Just don't speed. There are way too many pedestrian deaths in this city.

Recently a woman was killed in my neighborhood while crossing the street with a walk signal. Drivers need to be discouraged from reckless driving in general.
