Oil goes bad and becomes rancid over time, so I wouldn’t recommend saving used oil and reusing it.

We're supposed to save old cooking oil so that if there's an invasion by Russia - or North Korea, Canada, or ISIS - we're supposed to heat it and pour it out of the windows on our attackers.

We used to save the grease ,in a little jar. Depends what the grease was used for,it may be reused. Eggs,sautee???

But yes, it gets dumped in a garbage bags before night.

This practice was out when people were still using lard.

Worked at a Restaurant as a kid. Always poured the fat into containers where the trucks would
come and hall them away to be eventually refined and turned back into soap bars. Don't know if it holds true today......................

lol I don't fry. I roast or sautée so not much oil left. Take some paper towels and pour what little olive oil is left in there.
