I didnt need an update to know the billionaire would win. lolI'm pretty sure that was a given. He has had the spot for years and people have complained for years as well. It still didn't change anything.

The rich are always complaining about "illegal takings" except when they are doing it. Fines should be on a sliding scale, like 1% of net worth. Thus a billionaire's fine would be $10 million. Seems reasonable

How can his curb cut be legal when it doesn't lead to a driveway or garage??

https://www1.nyc.gov/site/buildings/...curb-cuts.page

Nothing in the final C of O (110124669.PDF) indicates a legal curb cut:
C of O PDF Listing for Property

Every building built after 1938 with legal driveway must have that driveway noted somewhere on it's C of O. My house was built in 1960, on my C of O it's called a 'driveway permit number'. Newer C of Os will call it a 'curb cut permit number' or 'off street parking' or something similar.

As far as I know the city doesn't maintain a public database of legal curb cuts but maybe the info is buried in some internal NYCDOT database.

What’s the latest update? Has the city blocked off his egress? Are they rebuilding the sidewalk?

I would love to see his face when they give him the bill
