Once again, someone takes a fall while taking selfies.

She is in serious condition but expected to live.

She will probably make it to the Selfie Injury and Death wiki page: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_o...ies_and_deaths

Seems extremely lucky to survive a fall from five stories up. I've always been terrified of rooftop gatherings for this exact reason.

Occupation? I really want to know the moron who falls off a building while taking pictures of one self?

Her apartment could range from $2000 to $5000. So again what is her occupation?

If it really matters...

"Hamilton grew up in Charleston, West Virginia and went on to earn a BA in communication from the University of Kentucky. She was a member of the Delta Delta Delta sorority and the Public Relation student society of America. She graduated last year and moved to New York, landing a job as People Operations Coordinator for AppNexus, a company which connects marketers to consumers.

Hamilton found a place to live in Kipís Bay, a Manhattan neighborhood. She and two roommates rented an apartment on East 25th street near 3rd Avenue. The five-story apartment building included rooftop access, and neighbors say that Hamilton and her roommates loved to throw parties up on the rooftop"

She looks a little older then 22, but definitely not 40. If someone showed me that pic of her and I didn't know her age beforehand, I would say late 20s/early 30s.

It's a miracle she survived. Hope her recovery goes well.

How is it those of us who grew up in NYC manage to attend roof top parties or whatever and not fall off. Meanwhile these transplants seem to fall from the skies like bird droppings.

You'd think after the first one, two, or three (forget the number we're up to in recent events), people would exercise more caution.

It is scary because these transplants love themselves roof top amenities and or balconies in apartment buildings. Maybe instead of window guards we need "transplant adult" guards or something.

How can you generalize transplants based on one person falling off of a building?

Isn't just the one; IIRC over past few years a few young persons have fallen off buildings/roof tops.

Am leaving out those who went out onto unstable balconies; but rather those at private buildings, clubs, bars or whatever on roofs or balconies and then fell/stumbled or whatever off.
