I got stuck on the A train for 2 hrs under the East River one summer night, and that does not compare. Elevator is the worst.

Really? Ummm....I don't know... I've been stuck on an elevator (don't know for how long though but I think it was under 30 min) and though scary because I wasn't sure exactly how long I'd be stuck there but being stuck on a subway car for 2 hrs?! Ummm...I don't know....

Being stuck in an elevator would be 100-times worse than being stuck on a subway car. I'd go crazy! lol.

The target for power restoration is now...midnight! SMH.
The economic impact will be substantial because of the particular area of Manhattan that's affected (hotels, restaurants, B'way, tourist sites & attractions including Times Sq). At least the weather although hot, it's not rainy or stormy. Can you imagine if there was a major thunderstorm going on in the midst of all this?

Politicians have to say that to prevent looting and arson. They don't know when the power will be back.
