Leave us all just sit tight until ConEd at least finds out what caused the outage.

So far they've got nothing: https://nypost.com/2019/07/14/con-ed...ttan-blackout/

They probably know, they just don't want to say it so they have to find a more suitable cause they can blame. But ConEd did pretty much rule out overwhelming demand as the system was nowhere near it's capacity.

Well now we know:

There's going to be heck to pay!

Cuomo is already on the warpath with MTA, now he's probably going to take ConEd to the woodshed.

There are three blackouts I remember well:
  1. The November 1965 blackout. I was at shop construction class being picked up by my mother and was scared that my father was trapped on a New York, New Haven and Hartford train bound from Grand Central to Mamaroneck. I was eight at the time;
  2. The July 1977 Blackout. I was driving to visit a college friend in New Jersey and saw the blacked-out Manhattan skyline in the rearview. On the way back I decided to be luxurious, taking the toll roads. Those had functioning generators and about the only power on. ; and
  3. The August 14, 2003 blackout, ruining my younger son's seventh birthday party. One of the few 90į days that cool, wet summer, but heat was not a factor in the blackout.
I was in Westchester this time, not affected by the blackout.

^ Democrats love enacting more laws/regulations/bans/taxes/fees/tools/surcharges that end up driving up costs and creating more red tape and bureaucracy but without actually solving any problems. The very things that is stifling NYC.
