What gets me is even with this heat you still see people digging through garbage bags outside supermarkets/shops. The stench alone puts me off, cannot imagine eating anything sitting in those hot and moist bags.

Passed a supermarket on Third other day and some guy was rummaging through bags taking out containers of fresh fruit. Well they were at some point, but the smell coming out of that bag said differently. To his credit guy was examining carefully each item.....

I think by natural selection most of these people either have no natural smelling sense or they've been doing it for so long the odor receptors in their noses are burned beyond recognition

^^ And have more heat generating muscle mass.

Thank god for this actual 70 degrees and feels-like 70 degrees overcast morning (Tuesday) I opened the windows and vents to get some fresh air through the apartment. Yes it is damp air, but at 70 degrees it is not miserably damp, but rather refreshingly moist.

Banking, shopping, and walking this morning and the gym this afternoon.

before you head out, do not forget to wear gloves/scarfs or longjohns as appropriate, so we can be spared from your complaining of how "unseanoably chilly" out there...

Since this seems a good time get complain-y, Id like to say I checked the temp on my phone so threw a light Long sleeved thing over my lighter shirt. Then I got too hot due to the humidity. I even had to compete with another woman for the ac vent on the grand central platform. Complain complain complain

Went to empty the garbage last night and the hallways were moist! By this morning things were down to a refreshingly cool temp and damp level.

Wasn't that warm last evening/overnight but too moist for just a fan. Turned AC off and cracked windows before leaving for work, hopefully things will stay cool indoors.
