She was a bartender and had zero aspirations to run for anything.

A casting call was put out for a new person to run for Congress by justice Democrats (socialists) and her BROTHER signed her up without her knowledge.

Justice Democrats themselves made a short documentary on how they picked her. They are not hiding the fact that they run her from behind the scenes and are looking to recruit more.

Justice Democrats, that's a new one. I do have to say though, I'm getting a bit peeved when I have to 'walk on eggshells' with some people. I can't vote in these elections, though I also am not in her congressional district, but I hope this 'movement' can be laid to rest.

I think it's great when working -class people run for office, especially when they're as smart and articulate as AOC. Jealous a bit?

I'm not jealous (envious) at all. I simply don't like her behavior and where she stands on the issues. Not sure why someone's dislike about issues/behavior somehow has to translate into being envious.

Beyond that, her father was an architect and she attended excellent schools, so despite the fact she worked as a bartender, she's not exactly the product of a typical working class household.

Actually she's a moron, but since you live in Cali she probably seems like a genius.

I guess I should be thankful that she scuttled the Amazon deal since the revenue and jobs keep coming in anyways but without massive tax exemptions. That part's nice, but I don't get how she gets so much credit for that when there were a lot of people involved.

I agree with the bold part, not so much with the second one. What has she done for her constituencies besides killing 25,000 jobs and pissing of the Speaker of the House (from her same party)? She's helping her own profile, but not the people back in her district.

So the question becomes, now that you have her, do you really want her? Would you rather have Crowley (meaning the Democratic establishment) back? Or maybe a new face to be named later would be better.

It would be interesting to hear what her actual constituents think of her.
I live in her district. I would def vote for someone else in a D primary but would probably vote for her in the general next time unless the R running against her is totally unlike most of the rest of the R party these days.

Maybe I just said what Henna said.

All primaries are thinly participated in but She went door to door throughout my neighborhood personally asking for people's votes. No one else has ever done that.

We are all working class people.
The problem with your comment is that it wreaks of identity politics. Why not look at her policies? She’s a puppet for the Justice Democrats ran by a pole and a Turkish guy who stand for socialism. By posting this comment I can see their tactic worked: promote socialism through victim hood and race. Meanwhile these two dudes are filthy rich. That’s the part you don’t see. You don’t see that they’re going to gut your 401k and basically make you pay for other people’s student loans and other so called goodies for younger generations. (They may half assed do this just to get votes to get into power). Of course, once they run out of other people’s money, you will be eating out of a garbage can while they’ve collected a bit of all resources- fattening their pockets even more - no different from Hugo Chavez and his daughter- who is now worth 5 billion or so - as he collected the countries resources and gave “some” to his daughter.

By the way- Justice Democrat’s also stand for the elimination of the 2nd amendment. Of course! They wouldn’t want people with weapons once the protests begin!
