Hardly the usual suspect here but if there was no gun there'd be a lot less bloodshed.

People do kill people but guns facilitate it more than any other weapon. Without the guns less people would die

This ship sailed decades ago. Guns aren't going away. There are over 100,000,000 people in this country that own something like 400,000,000 guns. And there are enough people who (rightly) thing they have a constitutional right to own guns that it's politically impossible to ban guns at a national level (and it this point the courts might prevent doing so even if the political hurtles could be overcome.

This means we need to deal with the violence by dealing with the violent. We do know how to do this. But we seem to have lost the will.

All completely besides the point that guns do in fact kill people that would not have been killed if the guns were not there

Mentally disturbed man walked into the 75th precinct this morning with a Knife in his hands. Tased and subdued, prosecutor will not indict - NO CHARGES against the man

Just waiting to see this happen again in a few weeks with the same guy

Cops responding to Brooklyn shooting faced hostile crowd and orders not to take action

"“People were yelling vulgar and vile things at the Cops, such as WE WISH YOU WOULD DIE and a litany of other HORRIFIC TERMS,” claimed the email writer, who Sergeants’ Benevolent Association President Ed Mullins said is a “NYPD member” who responded to the scene of the shooting."

Doesn't NYC/S have ridiculously strict gun laws, so that people who are willing obey the law can't buy or carry guns. So why do we still have all these shootings?
