73 Pct - 12 People shot at Hegeman Avenue and Christopher Avenue

41 Pct - One male shot

75 Pct - One male shot at Linden Blvd. and Emerald Street

69 Pct - One male shot at 8413 Avenue K

106 Pct - One male shot at Dumont St and Sapphire Street

73 Pct - One male stabbed at East 98 Street and Lott Avenue

50 Pct - One male shot at 2704 University Avenue

Waiting for the DeBlasio sympathizers to chime in that:

"It's so much safer than 30 years ago!"
"DeBlasio has nothing to do with these shootings"
"It has always been like this"
"Its a large city and things like this are bound to happen"

Keeps protecting your inept Mayor who doesn't support his Police. This will only get worse. But don't worry, since these shootings don't happen in YOUR neighborhood there is nothing to worry about right?

Why do people only like "Statistics" when it's black and Brown people shooting each other.

But one Police shooting of a perp and everyone says it's "One too many" and protests begin almost immediately? (Even when you look at the statistics that show police shootings are down)

Lmfaoooo I was literally gonna make a thread about deblasio and ppl blaming him for everything and yet here you are , to prove me right , so I guess I’ll just say it here . Deblasio does not control these low life criminals and cannot stop them from doing shootings . And yes the city is much safer then 30 years ago , crime literally decreases each year and even 10 15 years ago the murder rate was double how it is now and 20 30 years ago the murder rate was in 1000s going on 2000 while today it’s in the 300s . Not saying deblasio helped bring that crime down but New York is overall much much safer today then years ago . It’s only unsafe in certain areas , all those shootings were in the most dangerous parts of Brooklyn , one in the Bronx which is always dangerous . And sapphire and Dumont is on east New York border .

Non story because? You are expecting people in these neighborhoods to have gun violence??? Or you just don't care about their lives?

Why are they unsafe and dangerous and why are you OK with it being this way?

East New York , Brownsville and the Bronx specifically have been dangerous for decades , there isnít one specific clear cut reason but those areas are some of the highest poverty stricken low income neighborhoods and usually that comes along with high crime rates . And No Iím not okay with it being that way , I would love for all neighborhoods to be safe but unfortunately in this world thatís not always possible .

hmm
people like "statistics" because it's a way to analyze , without emotion, what the trends are and what can possibly be done to help.

or people can just blame a politician because thats what other people are doing ...whatever works for you

I'm blaming the criminals who go out purposefully getting illegal guns and who make the choice to take those guns out and shoot people with them.
