Which town is better to open kids sports business?
NY 10029 vs NY 10031 vs 10032.
My target customers are age between 4-12.

West Harlem so 10031 . 10032 is Washington heights . But the targets would be the parents cuz kids likely won’t go in there to buy themselves that young. In this instance I guess it doesent matter which location it is , it’s about your preference and where u traveling from . If u live in the Bronx it would be easier to open a business in east Harlem . If your coming from westside manhattan or midtown west Harlem would be better . If you wanna know which is safer ? Harlem in general is more crime compared to most of manhattan but west Harlem is the safest section of the three , east Harlem most dangerous , and central Harlem is in between

A lot of the parents will not pay you when they have free/subsidized options via after school programs in their public schools

This is a bad business idea that will fail. Both neighborhoods are crap. East harlem is probably the biggest dump on the island of Manhattan. Projects after tenements after projects after tenements aka not a lot of money. If you still decide to go ahead aim for west and central harlem south of 125 and west of fdb. That's where you have the most whites, asians and affluent blacks and hispanics aka money.

Neither neighborhood is "crap." East Harlem is still fairly poor and it would probably be a struggle for a higher-end leisure activity store to survive there. West Harlem...not so much. Either your info is outdated or you're just making assumptions based on perceived demographics.

It all depends on if you are offering something that is not there already. I would agree that a store would not do well, as we can all buy anything online today. But if you are talking about providing some kind of sports activity, I and many other parents, pay to put our kids into mid to high end martial arts and boxing at private sports businesses in East Harlem, so if you bring a unique sports activity, it may well do well. East Harlem is far from "crap" - my family is white and we love it here.
