MAYBE a Larry Hogan type Republican could get elected, but even that I doubt. The city's demograpghics are different from the 90s and before

Bla is term limited out at the end of this term. So he won't be a factor in the next election.

Here's hoping the aftertaste will have people considering another direction.

It's not the same thing. First of all D Trump lost the popular vote by a substantial margin. We don't have an electoral college system in NYC where Staten Island for instance carries as much weight as The Bronx or Brooklyn.

D Trump Jr will never get elected mayor of NYC. Anyone who thinks otherwise is deluded. If he wants public office he would have a much better chance by running for governor or senator. At least he could then count on significant support from upstate. Or he should declare Florida residency and run for office there.

Opinion:
I personally would not condone anyone taking the the wheel of a sinking ship such as New York but if
anyone can turn it around it would take a Republican and for that reason alone Junior
has my vote!
