Has anyone traveled from east 180th street to Fulton St. on express 5 during rush hour? How long does that take, approximately?

Geez, someone sure was helpful... The subways aren't too reliable these days, so he's asking with good reason. I wonder where bluedog is? I think he uses that subway line.

I was joking. But perhaps I owe the original poster an apology. Sorry, I should have put a happy face. The ride should take 45 minutes to an hour I believe. You can use Google maps and enter the route and it will give you an estimate. But if I was rude, then I am getting snippy and it's time for me to take a few weeks off.

I use the 5 but not at rush our 'cause I work in The Bronx and either bike or take a bus. Also hardly ever go that far downtown for anything.

But generally it takes about 30 mins from 180 to GC when running express so I'd guess 40 to 45 to get downtown.

Opinion:
I have run that route. It was approximate 40 minutes unobstructed.
Define unobstructed: homeless blocking doors, track fire, train ahead problem....the usual caca....

Again use trip planner by the MTA.
The least amount of time if you are at the station is 51 minutes.
This doesn't count for delays and trains being backed up which happen during rush hour daily. I'm on the train line. I would give myself at least 1 hour and 15 mins if you need to be somewhere at a certain time. If it will be a daily commute factor in over and hour plus walking to and from the station.
