Generally speaking, the urban, more dense areas of the Bronx are low income, so there's no money for saving to buy. Compare those areas to City Island, Country Club or even Morris Park and you have far more homeowners.

Those La Central new developments missed the opportunity to sell those units as Coops. They would have been snatched up in a heartbeat considering the train station is right there. Once that environment become stable the QOL wave would have took over The Hub and work its way to the concourse.

I drove by there over the weekend. That store is easy to miss as the scaffolding is still there blocking the signage. This weekend as i make my way over to Autozone i plan to linger around and check out the progress of the empty lots between Bergen and Brook
