NYC/S had better start thinking about drastic tax cuts, before they lose the taxpayers who pay the most.

Read somewhere yesterday that only 25 of Icahn’s top employees took him up on his rather generous offers to move to Miami with him and his not so veiled threat of no compensation at all for those who don’t... the deadline for acceptance has passed.
The rest decided to stay in NY and seek employment elsewhere.

Take a shotgun to your roof and shoot golden geese as they fly by.

To be fair that is rather normal. Not everyone can or even wants to pack up and move to another state. It is rare when any company/business or whatever leaves that 100% of employees or whatever make that move.

In order to make sense of that "25 employees" number we would need to know their job titles, compensation, etc....

Those persons could be anyone from a BSD who knows he can get another job in NYC at or even better compensation, down to administrative assistant or a secretary whose family situation simply is better off remaining in the city.

Given the current politically oriented definition of the term "woke", I gave no problem with that.
