Pretty much in the middle. I go to a restaurant right by there often. Its def not prime Williamsburg. Area is still a mess but I never felt unsafe with the projects.
Yes this is kind of a weird area in the neighborhood, can recall at least one other knife attack in the past few weeks.
As 7th has noted though, this area is next to a huge conglomerate of NYCHA, basically the dumping ground of social services for that whole region, which certainly did not start with Billy d. The urban environment is not ideal there, feeling desolate in some blocks. Lots of good shops and nightlife spots manage to hang on though.
I'm not focusing on the effect or more likely lack thereof a weak mayor is putting on the city. It feels bad though to hear about these brutal attacks targeting women, like those cowards who sucker punched and beat someone on her bike in midtown the other day, idk if anyone read. As a man I walk in some pretty hood places every day without a word

Yes because east Williamsburg is east of bushwick Avenue so this area is right by the border and is towards the end of Williamsburg proper . Next street after Humbolt is bushwick is Avenue which is the borderline
