what a strange society we live in. death to the cop trying to protect the people from the guy with a mile long rapsheet?
Sounds like we have a major problem in that neighborhood. NYPD should go in heavy handed there, but we all know this administration is very soft on criminals

Not great for the cops assigned but something that would need to be done. Pat down everybody going in and out of those houses and lots of paddy wagons rides until they get the message

If the people in these neighborhoods love their thugs so much we should let them hire said thugs as their PD. Then they can gather in the community center and vote on what things they would like to be legal and/or illegal. The thugs will then police the area according to the people's wishes. Of course we would then have to wall them off from civilized society until they beg the NYPD to please come back. Then we would be right back where we are now. If anything was ever going to change in the hood it would have done so already.

Area around Vanderbilt Avenue from old U.S.P.H.S hospital (later now closed Baley Seton) has been a hood for ages, and only getting worse. It barely gets better past Targee Street, and these days even near Richmond Road isn't what it once was.

Park Hill/Concord aren't that far from Prince Street and that should give you an idea of what area is like.

Except that by leaving them alone they get worse and then start to fan out in other parts of the city like a deadly virus
