Great so you live in Manhattan. Good for you, but 80% of the population does NOT and many don't live any where near subway lines. Please don't tell people from Rosedale or Bayside that they should ditch their cars.

When Corey goes to Throgs Neck, Bayside or Rosedale I want him to hop on his bike and get there.

Yes let him tell the folks in those areas about bike lanes.

It really seems to me that these Manhattanites think that they represent 80% of the city.

The Dem Socialists just woke up and realized that they are a band of privileged white kids with not much black support.

They need to look at that Caban race. She LOST! In a mayoral election turn out will be higher, meaning that more of the moderately engaged (who tend to be moderate) will show up. The wins that these folks get occur when no one turns up, meaning that 50 of the fanatics showing up can switch an election.

Good point, there should be a progressive toll based on income and wealth.

What about better bus service and streamlining LIRR fares with the bus and subway while upping frequency?

Actually I think it's the white ethnics and the asians that the progressives want to leave NYC.

^ If you take those two groups out, NYC would be no different demographically from Detroit, St. Louis, Baltimore, Buffalo, Camden, Trenton, Newark and a whole bunch of other Democrat controlled sewers.

Start by taking away parking privileges from government workers in NYC. So many workers drive into Manhattan, many of them are non-essential. I even think that most cops should not be allowed to drive in. Because we need more off duty cops riding the transit so they can help stop crime in the subways. This is why you rarely see an off duty cop stop crime in the trains since they don't ride the transit systems.

Back in the day, I would go shopping once a week - but I had to hoof it 2 miles. So I used an external frame backpack. It went in, tied on, or wasn't taken home. I was tempted to get one of those wheeled carts and drag it behind me.
