So I am planning a birthday trip for my wife to see Wicked on Broadway.

Obviously this is a little pricey so I'm trying to save a little money on hotels, but not being familiar with the city, idk what's within a reasonable distance and what's safe and not safe. I'm looking at about $150/night. I saw a Ramada in the Bronx among others. I have no issue taking an uber around the city, probably easier than me getting lost 4000 times lol.

I was wondering if anyone could tell me what hotels I might wanna look at for prices and how far away they are from the theaters.
Also, the show would be at 8pm on a Saturday. Anything else you'd suggest I take my wife to do? Where is Central park located ( i feel like that's a stupid question but I've never been to the city)

Also, what are the 'must try' foods of NYC?
