What does everybody do for a living?
We can all get to each other a little more on the board.
I'll set it off:
Project manager for a building code consultant firm, also working on my B.A. in Architecture, and eventually become a licensed architect at the end of the road.

I'm a sophomore in high-school.
I plan to head off to NYU to earn a masters in business administrator and accounting. (:

Basically I say what you can and can't build in NYC, according to the NYC Building Code and NYC Zoning Resolution.

Work for a large finance company in trading system administration (connectivity out to the various exchanges, FIX protocol, maintaining trade lines). Basically support the back end systems that handle electronic trades and carry financial data.
EDIT: Good thread idea!

I'm a Permit Specialist, but I don't live in New York. :-(
If I ever do, I hope to find something to support me in the same field.

A Product Manager for a technology company.
It's an interesting blend of the technical and the creative: I manage the development and life-cycle of new and existing products, handle most of the marketing activities and supervise tech support.
