The reason you don't see 10021 or 10075 from the UES on the list is probably because there's a really large number of people living in those zipcodes, and the neighborhood east of Lexington Avenue, where most of the really tall apartment buildings are, is not particularly wealthy (it's just typical for Manhattan).

I looked "10111" up and there are about 600 people living in that zip code. On the first link they reported the income at $922,000 but on the IRS website the average income is actually $1,258,035.

True. A lot of people are disappointed that they were removed from that ZIP last year after years of being in it.

A bit silly to me. The place confers the meaning on the code, not the other way around. This guy put it best:

I just knew my beloved zip code would make the list. I just love living in Chelsea, it's so lovely being rich and beautiful. I could only imagine, what some of these "other" neighborhoods incomes are? I probably spend more on toiletries than many househols whole buildings gross

LOL

I actually have a client who lives on Central Park West and his building has "servant quarters" studios on the lower floors of the building that start at $700,000 for the staff. Only residents of the main building can purchase them for their "servants".

That's 15 CPW...it's made the 'Curbed' Blog almost every day for months.

Many older buildings, like the one my parents live in and in my building, have servants' quarters on other floors that are actually come with specific apartments.
