I was looking through the top 10. richest zip code in the US list by income and most of them are in NYC.

What areas are these, Upper East Side and Upper West?

Top 10 by income:

New York, NY 10004: $1,192,091

New York, NY:10011 $922,834

New York, NY: 10167 $863,843

New York, NY:10286 $721,000

Los Angeles, CA: $595,527

Miami Beach, FL 33109: $533,062

Jersey City, NJ 07399:$528,021

New York, NY 10165: $523,615

New York, NY 10105: $505,130

New York, NY 10112: $504,891

Los Angeles, CA 90067: $500,106

New York, NY 10110: $498,111

100 wealthiest zip codes in the United States

You can google it but i would imagine a bunch are in the UES (70s/80s on Park/Madison/5th avenues).

I think 10004 is battery park/tribeca, so downtown.

10011 is the flatiron/union square/chelsea region.

"THE" zip code for the UES is 10021. That zip code is actually COVETED by some...

I wonder where New York ranks in the lowest income zip codes. I looked my area up one time, and it was like 12,000 a household or something like that.

What happened to 10013 West Village/Soho? Isn't that the dream neighborhood for all those top dollar earning yuppies?

I think Hunts Point is $7,000.

There is nowhere in NYC on the 100 "Poorest Zip Code" list.

I'm guessing all these averages should be higher, but there are probably rent-controlled and renters with low incomes in all of these New York zip codes bringing the average down so I'm guessing all these places are much wealthier than what is reported, even the ones in the $1 million dollar range.

I looked up that zip code

"10013" and the average income was $198,310..in 2005. It's probably much higher now.
