MAGA is absolutely not welcoming of everyone.
Both sides politically are completely full of it.
Both sides have their voters convinced the other side it a bunch of lying thieving scumbags and their side is noble and here to help. It's a total sham all around.

In my personal experience, i've seen more open arms on the MAGA side of people who are former democrats and hate what the democratic party has become, vs the other way around. The other way around, if you dare say you EVER voted republican or conservative you are still Shunned and called Bootlicker.

There are a pocketed few of us Conservatives left in this city but the odds are that family dispensed pharmaceuticals to their young uncontrollable children in combination with leftist educational indoctrination have done their damage by creating created the new and rare violent schizophrenic adult that we see today rioting in our streets. You mean northern California? Anyhow, thanks a lot for this precious piece of information. My dad traveled across NYS and told me how beautiful it was. The only place he didn't like was the Big Apple itself! Thanks again!

NJ is pretty leftist and their gun laws are even worse than NY. They even pretend that LEOSA doesn't exist and have their own version of it that requires you to qual twice a year. Plus no hollow points so that stockpile you surely have is worthless outside of a shtf scenario. I say go to PA instead.

I'd imagine there's a (imperfect but meaningful) correlation between population density and the way a community leans towards liberal vs. conservative policy.

I've considered retiring from NYC to Oneonta, or the outskirts. The city has nice restaurants, box stores, mall with a movie theatre and other services such as automotive. The old part of town has Norman "Rockwellesque" ambiance with gothic style churches and 'Main Street America' storefronts. There are cultural activities and 'New Agey' shops. Meanwhile, one can drive out of town for hunting, fishing, hiking, etc. A place such as that would satisfy both my blue side, as well as my red side.

I hunt 20 min from Oneonta. It’s a beautiful area and cheap.
