Times Sq. has always been sketchy at night time. Throw in Penn Station, Port Authority, 8th Ave area, when the sun sets, not good. That's not new. But in the early-mid 90's, that place was sketchy in the middle of the afternoon.

The guy was caught already. Dude went overboard. The law was on your side and then he flipped it against himself. Could have call the police, gotten his insurance info and went about his day but nope.. assault, robbery, leaving the scene of a crime.

I hope the girlfriend's brain starts working and realizes that she might be better off w/out this relationship.

Agree 100%. People also can easily die after being knocked out in the street. All for an easily settled issue. This guys anger will now get him not only a criminal charge, but he will likely be sued also.

It depends how a victim falls. In a ring the floor is soft. Much different when you fall on the asphalt.

If you gonna knock an old man, at least catch him as he is going down. You have to get them down easy.

I felt embarrassed for the son who just stood there after his dad got knocked out. He even went on to say how embarrassed he was.
This is why, boys should have some boxing knowledge. Take a year old course and learn how to defend yourself for gods sake.
Id knock that moron and his ***** out if they got that close to my father.

Theres a reason blades have been used since the dawn of man. Very scary and dangerous situation.

It's very scary to get attacked in NYC period because the DA's are much more inclined to charge and punish someone who fights back than they are the initial perp aggressor.

IMO, martial arts should be a mandatory course from Junior HS to HS. It could be American Martial Arts (AMA) Learn how to punch, kick, grapple, spar, etc,

I fully agree. I intend to have my kids in it when they are a bit more grown up. Ability to defend yourself is a great confidence builder.
