Back in the days prior to WWII..... there were CC camps.
Truants............my Father in Law .....one of them......sent to work.
Taught ...........electrical,carpentry,plumbing and the efforts of many
helped in the early days of building Mount Helena Montana.
Warehousing and forgetting in shelters or sweeping them off the street
and under the subway system carpet is not the answer.
Out of sight and out of mind only works in the short run.
The problem still remains .Only festers.
Grab a cluster of homeless encourage able, not mentally ill, and give them
direction and the recipe to life. I'm sure it will turn out to be fruitful for all.
Camps would work for other reasons but not for creating value for lazy pieces of crap. Work ethic and conscientiousness is built in the DNA.
