It's unfortunate that this is true . You don't sound bad at all. If people can't take the facts on here without making it out like you are the bad guy..I don't they should be reading.

Agreed. They're not the only ones but they are pretty vicious. The northeast Bronx is dominated by Jamaican drug crews and there is daily gun violence on White Plains Road. Probably the worst strip in the city. Numerous stabbings, shootings, assaults in the 200's and WPR. The projects there aswell. Has to do with Jamaica being the most violent country with the highest murder rate. So these Jamaicans come to the state and continue their criminal acts. Witht them tey bring AK-47's...M16's..etc etc. They have a nice location to.....far away and isolated which is the north east Bronx.

Not all of them are bad however.

that may be the case, but lets keep from making broad generalization, which at the end of the day only helps to keep stereotypes like these alive. because not every jamaican person in nyc has a criminal element associated to them.

I think people who do crimes and abuse the welfare system keep the stereotypes and generalizations alive for themselves.

Dumb question maybe. How did all these Jamaican gangsters involved in drug crimes get into the country in the first place? Did they sneak in illegally or did our dumb immigration system just say come on in!?

Our DUMB immigration law lets everyone in. Then guess what? We get to pay for it...right out of our taxes...so everytime you look at your nice little paycheck..think about that huh? :-/

I am sorry but i think most sterotypes are formed from peoples perception! Especially in the north where people were not taught too have these views but rather witnessed events that gave way too these sterotypes! Sure most sterotypes are exergerated and most are not always true . But i think that obviously enough people are seeing reasons why they are seeing certain people the way that they are seeing them . I don't think people are blind and are delusionally seeing something that does not exist! I think people are at least sometimes witnessing something that gives them a perception of a sterotype is true . If they did not witness a perception or judgment of things they saw happen ,they would not have a view of this sterotype !

The fact is that jamaica has one of the highest murder rates in the world! That is a fact . That can never be some kind of sterotype .

I have heard many jamaicans talk about the extremely high amount of murders they have witnessed around them in jamaica . Does this mean that jamaicans who have seen how much crime exists in jamaica are now racist and sterotypical against there own country!? Of course not ! If they have seen these events , Than they are real!

I have too agree with you there are some good jamaicans but people are still going too view jamaicans as gun toting criminals as long as enough of them are in fact doing this .

It does not even have too be about race . Is it wrong too have a sterotypical view that drunks cause accidents . Well there are a few drunks that cause less accidents than sober people . But the truth is more drunks do cause more accidents behind the wheel! Or what about the sterotype that pot heads are lazy? I have seen a few very ambitious pot heads who were more ambitious than the general population . But most of them i have seen were lazy!? Does this make my judgment inaccurate and wrong? OF course not!



I had a very wise friend who said that he was angry when people use too bad mouth his ethnic group as a kid . He said when he got older he looked around and said hey i can see why people see us this way there are alot of us that really do do these things people are talking about!

I am irish and i will be the first too admit that irish people really are usually a bunch of drunks!
