The yellow taxi vans are more and more visible. Those fit more than five people I see them at the airport everytime I travel.

yes but many will refuse 5 people or more tho in my experience

DO you tip the drivers? Reading these post's I didn't know you had to do that.

I had a cabbie yell at me one time when I didn't give him what he considered to be an adequate tip .....

I usually just give them $2.. I don't know if that's too little, too much, or just right, but I'm just a student with not much extra money to spare, so either way, that's too bad.

Isn't it the job of the cabbie to get you from point A to point B? They have a machine that lets us know what we should pay. Why give anymore?

1. Because it's customary to tip for good service.
2. Because these people barely make enough to make ends meet and since I'm taking a taxi I more than likely make more than they do and it's no skin off of my back.
3. It's the decent thing to do.

So why tip anyone then? Why tip your barber, your waiter, etc.?
